October has seen two gatherings of retail leaders meet to discuss where the sector is going. Tech by Retail Week began proceedings in early October and Wired Smarter took place yesterday.

While talk of the retail apocalypse is still rife, and troubles at Barney’s do not bring optimism, people still need to wear clothes, buy beauty products and eat.
